This weekend we took Mei-Li to Parrot Jungle, now known as Jungle Island. We really didn't know if she would enjoy it or not, but we really needed to get out of the house. Hubby thought I was crazy as the temperature in the car was registering at 101 degrees. But luckily, the Island is near the beach, and there was a slight, and I mean slight breeze going at times. We could only bear about 1 1/2 hours. But that's all it took to see everything. Mei-Li loved all the animals, and kept pointing to them. I think now when we identify pictures of animals in her books, she will be able to relate more from now on. I can't wait to enjoy more outings with her in the future.
